Ming Ming Lee plays great golf in San Diego
Published on 9th September 2023 in UncategorisedDuring the recent School holiday our young Junior member Ming Ming Lee competed in the IMG Academy World Junior Golf Championships at Singing Hills Golf Resort in San Diego, USA.
“The greens in California were huge but slow and competing against the best junior golfers in the world meant I had to use some strategies to manage distractions while putting and movement from caddies and spectators to ensure my swing was good. I persevered to finish 18 holes over 3 days and my scores were 74,78 and 73. I ended up ranked 21st in the World Championship competition. Playing in the US was an amazing experience and I made heaps of new friends who love golf like me.
On my return to Australia, I represented Monash Golf Club in the State Match Play Championships where I beat the current U18 NSW Champion! I was also selected to represent NSWCIS at the NSW PSSA State Golf Championships to be held in Batemans Bay in September.”
Ming Ming was also runner up in the JNJG (Jack Newton Junior Golf) 2023 U12 South Coast Tour at Catalina Country Club.
